Moons Over Saint Louis

Moons Over Saint Louis started as a little joke, and grew into a major project. The project, simply put, seeks out iconic landmark locations across the greater Saint Louis area, and have the model moon my camera.

Some models were reluctant to do what sounds like a silly project, and I respect that. The surprise was how many serious fine art models were eager to join this fun project. As one model put it, "FINALLY! I've been flashing and mooning photographers for years, but the fine art photographers never would take a picture of me doing that. So, YES! I'll gladly moon you!" Even models that "would never pose nude" enjoyed mooning my camera. Then again, there were the ones that did not understand they would need to bare their full moon in public places to be part of this project -- no photoshopping them into a scene. But then there were those few fun models who seem to refuse to wear bottoms throughout the photoshoot session.
